Helping Kids Beating Cancer Raise Over $2 Million at Its Annual Hats & Heroes Ball

Kids Beating Cancer

For over 25 years, Kids Beating Cancer (KBC) has been helping children fight cancer by providing support and resources throughout the treatment process. As one of Orlando’s most significant charity organizations centered around pediatric cancer, KBC hosts annual Hats & Heroes Ball, its biggest fundraising event. This year, the event raised over 2 million to help patients and their families with medical costs and create an exceptional hospital experience. With this year’s theme of The Greatest Showman, entertainment from Loren Allred, dinner and a silent auction, the night was truly a night to remember.

Each year Appleton works with KBC to create a video featuring a child who was impacted by KBC to be shown at the ball. This year’s video featured, Fiona, a young girl who was diagnosed with Leukemia. See how we told Fiona’s emotional story and her battle with cancer:

Since the start of the nonprofit, KBC has helped save 9,500 children’s lives and has raised over 19 million dollars for children and their families. In 2020 KBC hopes to break ground on an Infusion Center and Cellular Therapy Lab. If you would like to become a hero and donate to this lifesaving cause, visit the Kids Beating Cancer website today.
