Cheers to Free Beers & Running for a Cause at the Fiddler’s Green 5K

Fiddler's green 5k March 2016

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a little early, running for a great cause on Saturday, March 5th at Mead Garden. Hosted by Fiddler’s Green Irish Pub in Winter Park, the Fiddler’s Green 5K is an annual fundraising event that gives you the opportunity to run (and drink) for the charities and organizations that do so much in our community. All participants receive a shirt, medal and a free beer! For this year’s run/walk, 100% of the proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Winter Park-Maitland and the Conductive Education Center of Orlando (CECO).

As a close partner with Fiddler’s Green, Appleton recently produced a video for Habitat for Humanity of Winter Park – Maitland and is in the process of producing a video for CECO. The videos demonstrate the organizations’ commitments to Central Florida and the services they provide, in addition to showing how Fiddler’s Green and the charities work together to create a better community.

Beginning at 7:30 a.m., the Fiddler’s Green 5K will start at Mead Garden, taking you through the beautiful scenery Winter Park has to offer. Circling back around, the race will finish with a closing ceremony and awards for the top five men and top five women. Still not convinced? Live entertainment and breakfast will commence at Fiddler’s Green at 9 a.m., where runners can applaud their hard work and enjoy their free beer (if they’re over 21, that is). For more information and to register, visit the Fiddler’s Green 5K website.
