Appleton Attends a Très Magnifique Ball to Support Kids Beating Cancer

Appletonians dressed their best and danced through Paris, or through the Parisian-themed décor rather, at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando for an amazing cause earlier this month. The unparalleled luxury of Paris was brought to life in support of Kids Beating Cancer’s (KBC) annual Hats & Heroes Ball, an elegant fundraising event that recognized the children who are fighting and beating cancer and the heroes who have supported them.

Kids Beating Cancer is one of Orlando’s most impactful, hands-on pediatric cancer charity organizations and has been for 23 years. The Hats & Heroes Ball is one of the most prestigious social fundraising events in Central Florida, advancing KBC’s mission to fund lifesaving treatment for children diagnosed with cancer and other life-threatening diseases, as well as providing direct family-centered support throughout the journey.

Guests at the ball enjoyed “An American in Paris” themed gala that starred Michael Andrew and his orchestra, in addition to special performances from Orlando Ballet. The room was filled with French dishes, classical music and, of course, dancing. Throughout the night, KBC played emotional videos, including those that our talented video department produced.
