Winnie Palmer Hospital: Forces of Nature, Faces of Change Event

Big plans are on the horizon for Orlando Health’s Winnie Palmer Hospital. On January 14th, the hospital unveiled its plans of expanding women’s health services beyond the walls of maternity units, with the creation of the Winnie Palmer Center for Women’s Health.

During the women’s health event, “Forces of Nature, Faces of Change,” the hospital displayed the first rendering and plan for the new facility. About 400 executives and community leaders, including Appleton’s Amy Wise and Diana LaRue, attended last night’s event at the Kobrin Family Foundation Terrace at Winnie Palmer Hospital.

The new facility will become a one-stop shop for women’s healthcare and plans to offer a broad range of services including screenings, various diagnostic services and access to multiple specialists on-site. Currently, the opening date and location are unknown.

In addition to the women’s center unveiling, Sherrie Sitarik, president and CEO of Orlando Health, discussed the partnership with Physician Associates LLC, which added 95 new primary care physicians and obstetrics and gynecology physicians to their staff.
