Today is Your Big Day, SPCA!

The almost 80-year old SPCA of Central Florida is unveiling its new name and brand, Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, to the community at today’s first-ever Humane Heroes Luncheon. The one-hour fundraising luncheon at The Alfond Inn in Winter Park treated more than 300 guests to several exciting announcements, from the introduction of the new executive team to the rousing presentation of the rebrand. Guests also enjoyed a video emphasizing the importance of spaying and neutering pets and the valuable services Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando provides, such as the Veteran’s Program which helps those suffering from PTSD.

Appleton helped launch the previously redesigned name, logo and tagline. The tagline changed from “Your local Humane Society…saving pets since 1937” to “We speak. We heal. We care.” Together, they better align the organization with their vision – to create more caring communities by promoting happier, healthier pets and their families.

Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando has already expanded their programming, which will now include off-site adoptions at PetSmart and Petco stores and increased efforts to sterilize pets. The off-site adoptions will help to get more animals off the streets and out of the shelter in favor of lifelong homes. The sterilization efforts will be advanced through their state-of-the-art mobile veterinary clinic and use of new technologies, preventing future homeless puppies and kittens from ever being born. These services will join those already provided, which include on-site adoption, affordable veterinary care, sheltering animals, education and outreach.

Appleton Creative created a full public relations and marketing campaign to launch Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. As their agency of record, Appleton Creative designed comprehensive event collateral, print and online advertisements, billboards, vehicle wraps, trade show displays and a poster series. Appleton carried out the public relations efforts and social media management and content creation. The video shown at the fundraiser was also shot and produced by our video department.
