The oFISHal Scoop on ICCA’s Annual Summit

What could be better than thousands of chefs gathering in one place to talk about culinary art? Tasting all the delicious food, of course. The Appleton Creative video team was on location in Portland, Maine capturing all the excitement at the International Corporate Chefs Association’s (ICCA) 13^th Annual Summit. This lively event hosts the nation’s most innovative chefs who gather to network, inspire and share their visions for the future of the foodservice industry. The final video of the 13^th Annual Summit will be displayed on the ICCA website and used as a teaser for next year’s summit.

A long-term Appleton Creative client of more than 18 years, the ICCA is the first chefs association designed exclusively for corporate chefs from the nation’s largest chains. The association provides chefs with tools and a network of professionals necessary for career advancement.

This year’s summit, entitled “The Maine Event,” featured presentations, discussions and sessions with some of our nation’s most prominent chefs, entrepreneurs and business owners in the foodservice industry. Aside from listening to these inspirational sessions, summit attendees visited lobster processing facilities, harvested lobsters and enjoyed tours and tastings of Northeast kitchens, craft brewers, distillers and fermenters. Maine’s bountiful harvest and the artful craftsmen who create the food, beverages and raw ingredients have turned Maine into one of the best culinary destinations in the U.S.

Appleton’s video team was honored to be part of all the Maine adventures, basking in an entire week of culinary immersion and documenting every part of the summit on camera. With an abundance of fresh seafood in their systems, the Appleton video team shot some amazing footage and is looking forward to diving into production and editing.
