Showcasing Children’s Achievement Through Art Initiatives

One of our favorite community art programs in Central Florida, ArtWorks, partnered with Appleton Creative to design their website. ArtWorks is a program of St. Luke’s Methodist Church of Orlando, FL started in 2003 and run by Renée Schneider, to provide children an opportunity to express themselves through various art mediums. To date, ArtWorks has hosted over 170 art workshops taught by 46 local artists and professionals and has raised more than $15,500.

Appleton understands how art education can tremendously impact a community– especially for the children involved. That’s why when designing ArtWorks’ website, our team created a user-friendly, clean layout so that it’s easy for visitors to find out more information and learn how to get involved. The site design came just in time for ArtWorks’ “Heart From the Arts” exhibit at the UCF Art Gallery. The show was on display through October 5^th. We’re known for our philanthropy work throughout Central Florida. Appleton’s Creative Director Diana LaRue mentors and sponsors two children from Great Oaks Village. Appleton Creative has worked with Great Oaks Village in the past; work created by the children of Great Oaks Village under the ArtWorks program was displayed at the first Giving Circle Awareness Gallery located at Appleton Creative. Since the inception, the Giving Circle Awareness Gallery has showcased work from multiple causes in the community including Central Florida’s Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Pasadena Villa, and The Foundation for Foster Children.
