It Takes a Village: Sharing in Caring for Our Elderly

Share the Care has grown a lot in its 30-year history. One thing hasn’t changed though: its efforts to improve the lives of caregivers so they may better tend to their family members who are in need. In celebration of this rich history, Appleton Creative’s video team was honored to help Share the Care tell their story. (Link to Video)

Share the Care’s history is rich with compassion. The organization began 30 years ago to offer in-home respite assistance for families caring for elderly members with Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) or other forms of dementia. Now Share the Care has five daycare locations and serves any family that is providing care for an older adult at home. Additionally, their services now include mental health counseling for caregivers, non-durable medical supplies, caregiver training and outreach.

The opportunity for Appleton Creative to work with the leadership at Share the Care, tour the facilities and speak with the caregivers who use the services is an experience our video production team won’t forget anytime soon. The love, compassion and thoughtful consideration given by the entire Share the Care staff came through to the team and in the final 3-minute video.
