Luncheon at Knight

This year’s spring Town & Gown annual luncheon took place in the heart of the University of Central Florida’s Bright House Stadium. The group, which works to connect business and civic leaders in Orlando “town” with the professionals and students at UCF “gown”, met at the J. Rolfe Davis Recruiting Room in Bright House Stadium, home of the UCF Knights football team.

The event was hosted by Jessica Reo, Sr. Associate Athletics Director for the University of Central Florida Athletics Associations, and included introductions to some of the star athletes in UCF’s 17 Division I sports. The Knights new VP and Director of Athletics, M. Todd Stansbury, spoke to the group about the role and importance sports plays in the lives of the student athletes, not only on the field/court/water, but also in the classroom.

As the second largest University in the country, and a University on the cusp of a move to the Big East, the luncheon succeeded in adding to the pride that Town & Gown members already have for UCF. Go Knights!
