Helping Those In Need With An Evening Beneath the Stars

Hosted by Joseph and Teresa Gulino and located at their breathtaking lake front home, the Inaugural Evening Beneath the Stars event took place Saturday, November 1st. Professional and social leaders came together in an effort to raise much needed funds for the improvement of in-patient Hospice services to the residents of Orange and Osceola Counties. Proceeds from the even benefitted the Cornerstone Hospice, which prides itself on making quality care available to all persons, their families and those affected by serious illness in our community.

In addition to the beautiful ambience and worthwhile cause, Shawn Bartelt was honored at the event for her commitment to improving the lives of our community members. As the vice president and general manager of WFTV-Channel 9 and WRDQ Central Florida’s TV 27, Bartelt goes above and beyond by serving as a board member for the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, Florida Citrus Sports, and the After-School All-Stars program for at-risk youth. Shawn led the Heart of Florida United Way Campaign of 2012-2013. Appleton proudly supports Bartelt’s charitable ambition and community leadership.
