Fitness For Life 5K
Recently, Appleton Creative sponsored the Fitness For Life 5k in Baldwin Park. Â The race aimed to raise awareness for the prevention of childhood obesity and to encourage the youth in our community to be healthful and exercise! Â Childhood obesity is a sweeping epidemic in our nation, tripling in rate from just one generation ago and now effecting 17% of all children and adolescents. Those afflicted with childhood obesity are at increased risk of diabetes, elevated blood pressure and cholesterol, and heart disease.
The event was a success, attracting members of the Central Florida community both young and old. Along with getting their daily dose of exercise by walking or running in the race, participants were rewarded with prizes and access to important information and tips on how to live a healthy life and prevent childhood obesity. Appleton Creative was proud to attend and sponsor this community event.
