Job Description
We are looking for an outstanding full-stack developer with extensive WordPress experience who will be responsible for developing entire website and web app projects and develop new features for existing projects as needed. The ideal candidate is well versed in modern web development best practices and an expert in WordPress theme and plugin development without the use of pre-made templates or page builders.

Responsibilities
- Precisely build out responsive websites and landing pages from Photoshop/XD and figma design files using modern HTML/CSS best practices and frameworks/libraries such as Bootstrap and jQuery.
- Manage existing websites, adding new functionality and content through custom themes and plugin creation.
- Install and customize components such as rotators, carousels, and parallax scrolling.
- Develop Custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch, including creating custom post types.
- Customize styles for WordPress plugins such as photo galleries, event calendars, contact forms, and shopping carts.
- Develop custom web app solutions using the best tools for the job.
- Launching and managing websites through cPanel.
- Collaborate with senior programmer on project requirements and documentation.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure websites stay on-brand.
- Write and maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code.
- Maintain working knowledge of new development software, trends, and practices related to your responsibilities.
- Review existing sites for opportunities of improvement and features.
- Test sites for performance and security.
- Provide WordPress technical support and instruction.
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS and responsive web development best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Functional knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (jQuery), and DOM page manipulation.
- Functional knowledge PHP & MySQL.
- Experience & knowledge with SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with user experience best practices, including mobile platforms.
- Strong oral & written communication skills with both teams & clients.
- Strong issue tracking and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with CSS preprocessors such as Sass.
- Strong familiarity with Git.
- Experience with CLI tools and task runners such as Gulp.js.
- Experience using package managers such as NPM.
- Familiarity with ES6 syntax.
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture.
- Functional knowledge of 3rd party API Integration
Additional Experience a Plus:
- Git / Stack Overflow community participation
- Experience working in software development teams
- Advertising Agency experience
- Strong sense of UX/UI design
- Familiarity with developing Gutenberg Blocks and or ACF Pro Plugin
