2014’s Furriest, Hottest, Most Luxurious, Fierce and Heartfelt Campaigns

As we close out 2014, we celebrate the clients and projects that made our year so enjoyable. We’ve compiled a list of the most entertaining, exciting and creative projects along the way. Travel back in time with us for our 2014 projects in review.

Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando

At the start of 2014, the oldest and largest animal welfare organization serving the Greater Orlando area transitioned from the SPCA of Central Florida into Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.

As the agency of record, Appleton took the pre-designed name, logo and tagline and spearheaded the community rollout. Creating print and online ads, billboards, event collateral, vehicle wraps, trade show displays, a poster series, videos and microsites, Appleton was able to unveil the new brand and mission to the Central Florida community with the full-force of a public relations and marketing campaign behind us. In addition to the advertising efforts, we were able to carry the brand’s new vision into the shelters with environmental branding and into consumers’ homes with social media management and content creation. Driving by our billboards every day is a constant, wonderful reminder of the successful work we created for such a compassionate client.

EarthLinked Technologies

EarthLinked Technologies is the leader in geothermal heating and cooling. As the agency of record, Appleton began by updating its existing website with more educational and functional features. From there, we constructed a newsletter template, landing pages, direct mail, a public relations plan, brochures, trade show displays, presentation materials, digital ads and social media content.

After our campaigns, EarthLinked dealer’s site saw a 437.5% increase in unique visitors, 185% increase in total visits and the average visit length grew to nearly four minutes. Its organic traffic nearly tripled and the organic visitor count increased to more than half of all traffic. Additionally, the site saw an increase in mobile users. Being able to see work come to life that produces off-the-charts results is one of the most rewarding parts of our job.

Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress

Known and awarded for its long-standing grandeur and uncompromising standard of service, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress continues to be a staple of luxury and leisure in Central Florida. Appleton has a longstanding relationship with Hyatt and together, in 2014, we created outstanding work.

We created a new campaign to kick off its new year with a magazine and newsletter redesign, and worked steadily on TV slides, room signs, check-in key inserts and a welcome map, treating guests to beautiful collateral inside the hotel. We also produced an ad campaign for several travel publications, direct mailers and e-blasts complementing the new national Hyatt brand standards and promoting the extraordinary amenities the resort has to offer. It was exciting to create collateral that would be seen by people worldwide.


Dragon Boat

Dragon Boating is the fastest growing water sport in the world, and Orlando is no exception. Long-time dragon boat supporter and participator Orlando Health recognizes the many benefits of dragon boating, including increasing core muscle strength, cardiovascular fitness and teambuilding. This event is put on by Orlando Health as an annual fundraiser.

Appleton Creative branded the Orlando Health team to identify its role in the local dragon boating scene and its participation in the event. We designed a logo, boat wrap and promotional materials for the company’s program. Competing alongside Orlando Health and designing exciting materials for that one-of-a-kind event was a fun challenge that gave our team a unique opportunity to flex our skills.

 Orlando Health Heart Institute AFib

Orlando Health A-Fib

The Orlando Health Heart Institute offers the most advanced technologies and clinical treatments for Central Florida residents. Orlando Health’s 2014/2015 campaign focused on the most common heart arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation (A-Fib).

Appleton Creative joined forces with Orlando Health to give the campaign a cohesive look. Our team created the logo, designed and developed the microsite and produced and placed the campaign’s digital banners. We also created an e-blast to provide stakeholders with all the important Orlando Health and A-Fib updates and wrote detailed bios for each doctor. We are proud to help educate the public and increase accessibility for the cause that affects more than three million US citizens each year.
