BIG Innovation, BIG Growth: Orlando, Inc. 2012 B.I.G. Summit

Attracting innovators from across Central Florida, The B.I.G Summit is a one-day conference that brings together more than 500 business, community leaders, and entrepreneurs to discuss trends and best practices in entrepreneurship. This year’s sold-out event was held at the state-of-the-art campus of Full Sail University, an award-winning school for entertainment media education. Appleton’s VP of Marketing and Client Relations, Amy Wise was luckily enough to score a ticket to this anticipated conference.

The powerful day of discussion included opportunities for attendees to share ideas and forge business relationships with people within our region. Successful area entrepreneurs gave presentations on topics ranging from crafting the right pitch to leveraging new technology. Two featured keynote speakers included Jessica Jackley and Jeremy Gutsch. Jackley is the Founder of Kiva, the world’s first peer to peer microlending website, and Gutsch is an innovation expert and founder of TrendHunter.com, the world’s largest, most popular collection of cutting edge trends.

The 2012 B.I.G. Summit is presented by Orlando, Inc. one of four lines of business of the Central Florida Partnership and is specifically focused on Regional Entrepreneurship. A “Five-Star Chamber” – the highest level of achievement awarded by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – they are positioned to serve the growing needs of businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the Central Florida Region.
