Appleton Gives Back to Future Women’s Business Leaders

This week, ATHENA International sponsored the Women’s Leadership Luncheon, designed to acknowledge women leaders who are dedicated to building bridges across professional sectors and generations. The event was held at the Country Club of Orlando and guided by special guests Martha Mertz, founder of ATHENA International and Teresa Jacobs, Orange County Mayor. The afternoon luncheon encouraged established businesswomen to invite young, emerging professionals to give them the opportunity to hear from and begin building relationships with other renowned community leaders. The 2012 Athena Leadership Award was presented to Ann Sonntag, award-winning publisher of the Orlando Business Journal.

Appleton’s Diana LaRue and Amy Wise attended the luncheon.
