Appleton Creative Hosts the SPCA of Central Florida

The SPCA of Central Florida met at Appleton to host their Humane Heroes Table Captain Kickoff. The kickoff event was an informational meeting to get table captains enthusiastic for their Humane Heroes Fundraising luncheon this May.

The SPCA of Central Florida receives almost 14,000 companion animals annually – housing an average of 500 animals at any given time. These animals come from community members who were unable or unwilling to continue to care for them. The SPCA runs an open-door facility, meaning they do not turn away any animal in need of shelter.

The SPCA of Central Florida is funded by the generosity of people who care about animals. The Humane Heroes luncheon will take place May 9^th, 2014 is as a free fundraising event to raise money and provide homes for these animals. The event included announcements and a cocktail hour, and concluded with the reveal of the SPCA’s new name and logo, which will be revealed to the public in May.

The fabulous food, wine and service for the event was generously donated by John Michael’s catering.
