Appleton Awareness Gallery Shines Light onto Beacon College’s Most Talented Artists

Appleton Creative hosted its most dynamic art exhibit to date– and what a great turnout! The theme of the event, “Lighting the Way”, featured original art pieces created by the students and faculty from Beacon College, the accredited nonprofit college offering both bachelor and associate’s degrees exclusively for students with learning disabilities and ADHD located in Leesburg, Florida. Beacon College acknowledges individual learning differences and offers educational support services including the Learning Specialists Program, the Writing Center, supplemental instruction, and special accommodations.

Guests who attended the show had a chance to view original pieces of art, meet the artists, and participate in a silent auction. In addition, select artwork and themed gift items were available for purchase. Appleton also had the opportunity to reveal an original Giving Circle^™ collage created by our talented team. All the proceeds from the event went towards creating scholarships for students majoring in the new Studio Art major.

The Appleton Awareness Gallery was inspired by the growing needs in the community and was designed to bring attention to local causes through art. Each exhibit showcases a body of work inspired by a specific cause in need. At Appleton, we believe that art should be enjoyed and appreciated, and we hope that the meaning behind the art will create an increased awareness for our community’s charitable needs. In the past, the Appleton Awareness Gallery has hosted exhibits and fundraisers for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The Foundation For Foster Children of Central Florida, Greater Oaks Village Foster Care, and Zebra Coalition.
