A Surprise Baby Shower for Dolly

Everyone at Appleton Creative loves parties, babies and surprises.  Our own Dolly Sanborn is expecting a baby girl, giving us the perfect opportunity to host a surprise baby shower. We made sure that it was extra special for our exceptional graphic designer.

While Dolly was working on her latest designs last Friday, we decorated a downstairs room, snuck in a caterer, and brought in a cake. She had no clue.

We blindfolded Dolly to take her to a “secret location”. But after a 15 minute joyride, she was brought right back to the office. Our elaborate plan included a pretend valet service, loud jazz music, and clinking of plates and utensils to create the illusion of a busy restaurant. The surprised, joyous look on Dolly’s face was priceless, making all the planning and preparation worthwhile.
