Foster children very rarely receive the support and resources needed to enjoy regular childhood activities. In Central Florida alone, more than 1,500 children ages 0-23 are living with foster families, relative and non-relative families and group homes or transitional homes. The Foundation for Foster Children (FFC) was created to provide these kids with opportunities to excel in school, participate in activities that provide positive life experiences and navigate through life. This weekend, over 900 foster children and families met at Aquatica, Seaworld’s Waterpark, for a day of fun in the sun. Appleton Creative’s video department was on scene to film the event and capture the smiling faces.
The annual “Day of Fun” as it’s come to be known allows children to enjoy activities with their foster families while raising awareness for FFC’s cause and the need to support others like themselves. Appleton Creative’s video team was on-hand capturing the special moments and interviewing FFC team members, children and families touched by FFC and the Aquatica staff who helped make the day possible. The interviews show the positive emotional impact the event has on everyone’s lives. Watch the video here:
