Washburn Imports — Branding Campaign & Collateral

CHALLENGE: Washburn Imports is an established retailer that expanded to four Florida showcase locations and needed to support that expansion with a visually appealing promotion. At the same time, the owner wanted to reach a higher end clientele and area designers.

STRATEGY: Appleton Creative went to work to develop an upscale message that captured the spirit of a retail shop specializing in original, hand-crafted goods from across Asia. A bold, graphic theme was created, using elements of Asian design as spot art, and based on the foundation of “Exotic. Exceptional. Extraordinary.”

RESULTS: Response to carefully targeted direct mail increased Web site hits by 7% in the first month. Today, Washburn Imports is recognized by the designer community and the public as the premier source for Asian art, furniture and accessories.
