As we move into the new year of 2017, we’re celebrating the memorable projects we were a part of in 2016. Take a look at our year in review, featuring some of our most creative, clever and compelling marketing campaigns and projects to date.
Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association
The Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association (ORRA), an organization with more than 2,500 REALTORS® covering a seven-county area, set out on a mission in early 2016 to find the perfect agency to create a marketing campaign that would effectively communicate to its specific audiences. Answering the creative call, Appleton developed a full-scale advertising campaign, incorporating simple imagery and clever copy that shows potential homebuyers and sellers the very real benefits of utilizing a REALTOR®. Couple that with a highly targeted media buying strategy, including radio, outdoor, print and digital, and you get one killer campaign reaching 27,252,287 Orlandoians. The ORRA campaign has also already won two awards and is in contention for several more.
Orange County Library System
To dispel the myth that libraries are only for reading books, the Orange County Library System wanted to introduce more of its dynamic services to Orange County residents. With cardholder benefits including everything from financial investment courses and genealogy resources to 3D printing classes and training on flight simulators, the Orange County Library System and Appleton Creative were determined to show that the library has something to offer everyone. We implemented a comprehensive marketing campaign which included radio, social media, digital banner ads, geotargeted eblasts and both traditional and digital billboards, featuring original and wholesome creative concepts in both English and Spanish. While the total reach for this campaign was 36, 936, 513, the community awareness it brought was priceless for the library.
CareerSource Central Florida
To help refine the CareerSource Central Florida brand and tell its story, Appleton designed and produced a feature brochure that highlights the workforce solutions company’s high growth industries and an infographic brochure showcasing county-specific industries it serves. In addition, we created last year’s and this year’s annual reports with dramatic sizing, pops of colors and elegant paper techniques that vibrantly show off the rich information inside each piece.
Orlando International Airport
Always building for the future, Orlando International Airport (OIA) has been making headway on its $3.1 billion Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), which includes the $1.8 billion South Terminal Complex project. To incorporate the projects and expansions into its promotional marketing materials, the airport needed Appleton to produce numerous print pieces, including feature brochures with foldout inserts, trade show displays, print advertisements and annual reports, in addition to many other collateral pieces. While OIA continues to take off with its CIP, Appleton is ready to travel into a new year and new destinations with the airport.
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress
Each quarter, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress and Appleton produce the Hyatt Grand Times Magazine, a treat for Hyatt guests who travel from all over the world to the resort for business, pleasure and sometimes both if they’re lucky. This year, many issues of the magazine featured the innovative new restaurants that recently opened at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. From the elegant comfort foods at Lakehouse Restaurant to the conveniently delicious treats from Market, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress has something to eat for all its guests, and we’re right here to tell you all about it.
As one of our sweetest video shoots of all time, Appleton treated David’s Cookies, one of our newest national clients, to a video filled with more sweets and treats than you could possibly imagine. Played on HSN.com, the Home Shopping Network’s website, David’s Cookies needed the expertise of our video team to tell the nostalgic story behind its brand while showcasing the mouthwatering delicacies the national dessert supplier has to offer.
Florida Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company
Created by the Florida Bar in 1987, Florida Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company provides lawyers with indemnity and defense costs protection for claims that may arise while providing their services to a client. While the company’s previous brand image was familiar, Florida Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company partnered with Appleton to create a modernized brand image that better reflects what the company is today. The full-scale rebrand included a logo, brochure, enewsletters, print ads and marketing collateral, in addition to a completely new website. The before and after was truly astounding, and all parties involved couldn’t be happier with the results of this legal marketing rebrand.
This year, Seniors First celebrated its 50th anniversary in a way that would show off its longevity and continued growth in Central Florida. The organization is dedicated to helping seniors citizens improve their quality of life, and we couldn’t wait to help Seniors First improve its image in the form of a complete rebrand. With a new logo, brand colors, website design and other marketing materials in hand, Seniors First also entrusted Appleton to help create the 50th anniversary logo and coordinate the anniversary event’s launch with PR, invites and event collateral. More recently, Seniors First and Appleton worked on a campaign to promote the need for volunteers in its Meals on Wheels program. The comprehensive marketing plan included social media and public relations, in addition to traditional and digital marketing support.
